Post-Dobbs, tens of millions of people in the U.S. have been directly affected: more than half of the states have restricted access severely or completely banned abortion.
The Abortion Bridge Collaborative (ABC) Fund, housed at the Women Donors Network, was created in response — helping to ensure that abortion care endures across the U.S. The ABC Fund rapidly moves money to organizations to fill immediate needs or build long-term infrastructure to protect and advance reproductive justice nationwide.
As the history of social movements has shown: those closest to the problems are closest to the solutions. In traditional philanthropy, the people advancing abortion access are often not the ones making funding decisions. This is why ABC Fund uses a participatory grantmaking model led by field experts and movement leaders to identify organizations and projects engaging in the most critical work delivering abortion care, defending abortion access, and advancing reproductive justice.
ABC Fund’s Grantmaking Advisory Council is comprised of activists, movement leaders, community organizers, abortion providers, funders, and attorneys from the reproductive rights, health, and justice movements. Their knowledge and expertise ensure our grantmaking is proximate and their connections to the movement are critical as we continue to establish ourselves as an accessible, transparent, and responsive funding partner.

Investing in bold and creative work that creates new or alternative pathways to care, including online pharmacies, self-managed abortion trainings, doula collectives offering community-based care, and organizations utilizing shield laws.
Expanding the reach of info-sharing efforts nationwide that disseminate accurate and accessible information about how to obtain safe proximate abortion care.

This fund is not designed for larger, more well-resourced organizations or for organizations that are not already deeply involved in the movement for reproductive justice.
